USP Residual Solvents Guidelines

Residual solvents are those compounds which are present in small quanitites in the end cannabis product. In the cannabis indnustry, crude preparations of hydrocarbon extract are typically refined by purging solvents left over from the extract process. As there currently is no universally accepted standard for residual solvents in cannabis products and preparations, the United States Pharmacoepia has established limits for individual solvents.
